One month ago, Live Action released its bombshell undercover investigation exposing Planned Parenthood’s willingness to prescribe cross-sex hormones to minors with little to no oversight.
The next day, Planned Parenthood responded with a statement ([link removed] ) addressing our investigation in their daily publication, “The Quickie.” While they painted the video as a “smear campaign,” at no point did they attempt to deny the actions our investigation revealed.
On the contrary, Planned Parenthood stated that they “provide gender-affirming care that is age-appropriate, evidence-based, and informed by expert clinical standards.”
This so-called “care” includes prescribing cross-sex hormones — known to cause permanent bodily damage — to vulnerable young people and facilitating transgender surgeries. ([link removed] ) A recent report from the American Principles Project ([link removed] ) also exposed that birth control is being provided to minors by Planned Parenthood as a form of “gender-affirming care.”
Apparently, Planned Parenthood is willing to go to great lengths to cash in on the transgender craze. This should come as no surprise since its definition of “care, no matter what” includes murdering over 400,000 preborn babies last year alone.
So what does the organization have to say in its defense?
First, it claims that “[g]ender-affirming care has been researched, supported, and deemed medically necessary” despite the fact that, just days before, the US Department of Health and Human Services had released a report ([link removed] ) detailing the significant harms of “gender-affirming care” on minors “includ[ing] infertility/sterility, sexual dysfunction, impaired bone density accrual, adverse cognitive impacts, cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders, psychiatric disorders, surgical complications, and regret.”
Planned Parenthood also claims that “[a]t every stage of care, parents, young people, their families, and their health care providers, including mental health providers, are making decisions together that feel right and safe for them.”
Notice that it claims these decisions are made “together” despite the evidence from our investigation and the testimonies of multiple detransitioners showing that Planned Parenthood does not concern itself with mental health evaluations or the medical histories of their customers who are seeking cross-sex hormones.
As noted above, Planned Parenthood is also openly promoting birth control under its umbrella of “gender-affirming care” because it allows teenage girls to stop normal menstruation without parental consent.
These actions hardly align with the collaborative care and “high medical standards” that Planned Parenthood claims to uphold.
It’s clear that Planned Parenthood is more concerned with its own bottom line than the health and well-being of its customers. Any organization that is willing to brutally kill preborn babies and target minors with transgender ideology has no business being underwritten by American taxpayers.
