Dear John,

We invite you to join the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) for an urgent and timely webinar:

Under Threat: Student Detentions, ICE, and the Criminalization of Dissent

* 🕐 Time: 1:00 PM – 2:10 PM EST
* 💻 Location: Virtual (Zoom link provided upon registration) ([link removed])

In recent months, a disturbing trend has taken hold across college campuses and protest spaces: students—many of them international or from marginalized communities—are being detained, placed in ICE custody, and threatened with deportation. These actions raise serious legal and constitutional concerns and reflect a broader strategy to criminalize dissent and intimidate vulnerable populations.

This panel will bring together attorneys and policy experts to unpack:
* The legal grounds (or lack thereof) for these detentions
* How immigration enforcement is being used to target student activism
* The consequences for student safety, academic freedom, and civil liberties
* How communities, schools, and advocates can fight back

Confirmed Speakers Include:
* Amy Greer, attorney for Mahmoud Khalil
* Mahsa Khanbabai, attorney for Rumeysa Ozturk

Please join us for this critical conversation about defending protest rights and protecting our students.
