➤➤ BREAKING: Senator Ernst dismisses Medicaid concerns with
“We're all going to die”, then DOUBLES DOWN
This is beyond shameful, John.
At a recent town hall in Iowa, Senator Joni Ernst faced constituents worried about proposed cuts to Medicaid under the "One Big Beautiful Bill." When a concerned citizen warned that people could die due to these cuts, all Ernst could say was:
"Well, we're all going to die."
And when she got backlash, she didn’t walk it back…
Instead, she doubled down in an Instagram story filmed in a graveyard, smirking and sarcastically “apologizing” for her remarks.
This is what the Republican Party has become: “leaders” who treat people’s lives — their access to Medicaid, cancer screenings, prescriptions – as punchlines for their base.
Ernst isn’t alone. Trump and MAGA Republicans in Congress are pushing brutal healthcare cuts, then mocking the people those cuts will hurt. They’re doing it shamelessly, proudly, and publicly.
That’s why we need leaders who will fight back – and why Democratic Secretaries of State are more important than ever. In red and purple states, they are some of the last statewide officials standing up for basic dignity, civil rights, and accountability.
At DASS, we’re not just electing Democrats to count votes – we’re building a firewall against MAGA cruelty at every level of government. But we can’t do it without you.
Your support is crucial. Will you chip in $3 right now to help us stop the cruelty and fight for a government that respects the people it serves?
