I am proud of Ruben.

I am proud of the man he has become, and most of all, I am proud of his fierce and unwavering commitment to making life better for everyone, regardless of their background.

During his campaign for Senate, back in 2023, we were blessed with our first child together — baby Isla. Now, during Ruben’s first year in the Senate, we’re expecting our second child. It could happen any day now. I can't wait for all of the adventures our growing family has in store.

But right now, Ruben not only has one eye on me and the pending birth of our baby, but the other eye on his fundraising. He’s still working hard for us and for working families, and he’s still got to fundraise to fight back against Trump and the extremists in the White House.

May is an official FEC deadline month, and it’s an important one. And because Ruben is going to be taking some time off to spend with our growing family, it means a lot less time making fundraising phone calls.
