John, the North Carolina Supreme Court recently released a bombshell decision, and spoiler alert: it’s not good.

They ruled in favor of the Republican-backed law that strips power away from our governor, even after a lower court found the ruling “unconstitutional beyond a reasonable doubt.”

For 125 years, the governor of North Carolina has had appointment power over the board of elections. Now, in a blatant power-grab, they’re going back on this precedent and going further to say that the legislature can strip away any of the governor’s powers.

It’s clear that North Carolina Republicans will stop at nothing to erase our victories last November.
