Republican State Rep. Jim DeSana announced new articles of impeachment against Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson. Why? Because he’d rather go down rabbit holes and relitigate debunked election conspiracies than do his job and work for the people who elected him.

This is the second time DeSana has tried to impeach an elected official simply for doing their job. And just like last time, it’s a waste of time and taxpayer money.

Let’s be clear: Secretary Benson has faithfully served Michiganders and protected our democracy. Meanwhile, Republicans like DeSana have no real solutions, so they turn to political games and distractions.
