Friend,

Pride began as a protest — a stand against violence, persecution, and injustice.

This Pride Month, we stand with Andry José Hernández Romero, an LGBTQ+ asylum seeker who fled Venezuela and sought safety in the U.S. — only to be abducted and disappeared, without due process, to El Salvador’s CECOT mega-prison.

We need your voice: Urge Congress to demand the immediate return of Andry and other immigrants who've been disappeared to CECOT.

Andry is a talented makeup artist and actor. He fled Venezuela after facing threats and violence because of his sexual orientation and political beliefs. But when he arrived in California, he was immediately detained.

He remained in detention for months until the Trump administration sent him to a Salvadoran jail where hundreds of immigrants are being imprisoned in dire conditions — simply because of tattoos on his wrist that read “mom” and “dad.” For over 50 days, Andry has not been allowed to speak with his family or his lawyers. Unfortunately, Andry's story is one of many. This Pride Month, we say: No more.

We demand justice. We demand accountability. And we demand the return of Andry and all those who have been taken. It only takes a few seconds to act. Tell your members of Congress: Bring them home.
