Andry is a talented makeup artist and actor. He fled Venezuela after facing threats and violence because of his sexual orientation and political beliefs. But when he arrived in California, he was immediately detained. He remained in detention for months until the Trump administration sent him to a Salvadoran jail where hundreds of immigrants are being imprisoned in dire conditions — simply because of tattoos on his wrist that read “mom” and “dad.” For over 50 days, Andry has not been allowed to speak with his family or his lawyers. Unfortunately, Andry's story is one of many. This Pride Month, we say: No more. We demand justice. We demand accountability. And we demand the return of Andry and all those who have been taken. It only takes a few seconds to act. Tell your members of Congress: Bring them home.
