Dear Green American,
Donald Trump’s so-called Big Beautiful Bill – full of tax cuts for the wealthy and hardship for most everyone else – passed the House of Representatives.
We must act now to strip out its attacks on people and the planet –– including attacks on the environment, renewable energy, and social justice – before it passes the Senate.
This cruel and unjust bill will cut clean energy funding, putting 700,000 jobs at risk while possibly setting us back for decades in addressing climate change at a time of rising climate disasters.

Proposed cuts to agriculture will ensure that only the largest producers, who are focused on quantity, not quality, will benefit. We were recently told by a farmer in our regenerative agriculture network that, without major changes, 9 out of 10 family farms could be gone by the end of 2025.
The bill also includes massive cuts to Medicaid and SNAP food benefits that will take food and medical care away from people who need it most.
When asked at a recent town hall about the impacts of cuts to Medicaid on people’s health, Senator Jodi Ernst of Iowa replied “Well, we all are going to die.”
Her callous answer sums up the cruelty of this bill.
And, this bill won’t just harm millions of people this year. It will have a large and negative impact on people, the economy, and the environment for years to come.
