Every child across the globe has the right to active and engaging play, every day. Each year, organizations across the globe honor this right on June 11, the International Day of Play.

This year Playworks has come together with other global play organizations to spotlight why play matters, now more than ever, in a live webinar discussion. This conversation will include Playworks' very own Executive Director in Pennsylvania, Tia Mathisen, Dr. Sarah Aiono, CEO of Longworth Education, New Zealand, Shweta Chari, CEO of The Opentree Foundation in Mumbai, India, and Ingrid Srinath, Chair of Resource Alliance.

Together they will explore how play can be embedded in learning spaces, communities, and homes — not as an afterthought, but as an intentional tool for children’s learning, well-being, and development  — and actions we can take across the globe to increase every child's access to play, every day.
