Imagine selling off majestic landscapes for pennies while wildlife lose their habitat and families pay the price. That's what Trump wants -- to sell the Western Arctic to his oil executive buddies. Yesterday, the Department of the Interior announced a plan to revoke a rule limiting oil and gas development in the Western Arctic, the largest contiguous area of public lands in the entire United States. These lands are home to caribou, polar bears, unique wetland ecosystems, and Indigenous communities, and they must be protected. We will not let this happen without a fight.

Last month, House Republicans voted to advance Trump's dangerous budget bill filled with polluter handouts. But our movement's grassroots organizing helped keep their plan to sell off 500,000 acres of public lands out of the bill. We're up against a lot, but this shows that public pressure can work. With the legislation now in the Senate, we have a critical opportunity to keep pushing back against some of the worst parts of the bill. Republicans are divided, leaving us a key chance to peel off votes and protect clean energy, climate action, health care, and more.

Our third workshop in the "Tapping Into Your Story" training series is this Thursday, June 5. Trump is using our tax dollars to pay for his birthday celebration on June 14, which is expected to cost millions. Meanwhile, Republicans are claiming that there's no money for clean energy, national parks, Social Security, and other key environmental and health programs. The corporate polluters and billionaires who bought access to Trump benefit from the erosion of protections. The only way we can fight back is together. The power is in our hands. We're standing together against the abuses of power, cruelty, and corruption.
