It’s Deborah Ross.

Last month, House Republicans passed a budget bill that would gut programs millions of Americans depend on — from health care to food assistance.

And for what? To hand an enormous tax break to the wealthiest people in this country — folks who already have more money than they could spend in a dozen lifetimes.

Let’s put it in perspective: In just the past year, the 10 richest Americans got $365 billion richer.

Now they’re on the verge of cashing in again — with a tax cut so large it’s being called one of the biggest wealth transfers in American history. And every single dollar they gain is being taken from programs that help working families survive.

This is immoral.

Donald Trump and the GOP are pushing an agenda that prioritizes billionaires over everyday Americans. They’re gutting the safety net that families count on — all to make sure their wealthiest donors get richer.

This isn’t some abstract policy debate. These are decisions that affect whether kids go to bed hungry or whether seniors can afford their prescriptions.

I didn’t come to Congress to sit quietly while the rich rewrite the rules to benefit themselves. I came to fight for working people — for North Carolinians raising families, working long hours, and simply trying to build a decent life.

We’re building the infrastructure to protect this seat in 2026 — because keeping this seat is going to be critical to flipping the House and putting a check on Donald Trump and the MAGA Republican agenda.

But we can’t wait until next year to get started. We need to lay the groundwork now. Will you chip in $10 to help fuel a winning campaign? >> [link removed]

Thank you,

Deborah

In 2020, Deborah became the first Democrat in over a decade to be elected to represent North Carolina’s 2nd Congressional district. In her first term, eleven pieces of legislation she introduced were signed into law. These measures increased funding for sexual assault nurse examiners, enhanced judicial ethics and transparency, and bolstered North Carolina’s offshore wind energy potential. Deborah needs your support to continue the fight for fairness, equality, and progress. Let’s do this together.
