John,
Republicans' latest budget cuts are jeopardizing abortion access even in blue states.
The Trump administration has started to withhold millions in federal funding for essential health care services, like birth control, cervical cancer screenings, and testing for sexually transmitted diseases — and House Republicans just passed a budget that would bar Planned Parenthood from accepting Medicaid. That's right — Republicans want to make it harder for lower-income patients to get the care they need.
As a result, in the past month alone, Planned Parenthood has been forced to close 12 clinics across Minnesota, Michigan, and Iowa, cutting dozens of jobs and making access to reproductive health care dramatically harder for thousands of people. This is a wake-up call: even in "blue states," our fundamental freedoms are under direct attack by anti-choice Republicans.
Stand up against the cruelty of anti-choice extremism and support Democratic pro-choice women who will defend our access to reproductive care in EVERY state:
Planned Parenthood North Central States will now operate just ten brick-and-mortar clinics in all of Minnesota, two in Iowa, two in Nebraska, and one single clinic in South Dakota. Iowa already bans abortion after six weeks – forcing many patients to travel across state lines to get care, so these closures will impact their access even further.
Anti-choice extremists know that coming after Planned Parenthood's funding could shut down sexual and reproductive health providers across the country. They're on a mission to control our bodies and our lives by any means necessary – but we won't let them.
Donate now to fight back by electing pro-choice leaders across the country who will protect our fundamental freedoms:
