Why is that so huge? We’ve secured a massive investment in our state’s seafood industry and protected the jobs of multi-generational fishing families, who are facing uncertainty and instability due to President Trump’s tariffs.

This investment will help our local economies grow and families make ends meet, and insulate our local businesses from the unpredictability of Trump’s tariffs.

Oregon is known for many great things — including excellent food, coffee, agriculture, wine, and timber. These industries fuel local businesses, support manufacturing jobs here in the state, and provide Oregon-made goods around the world.

Situated on the coast, we’re one of the most trade-dependent states in the country. Our ports do billions of dollars worth of business each year, and support local jobs in the area. These tariffs could have disastrous effects on our businesses and consumers and increase costs of living around the state when they’re already too high as it is.

President Trump’s tariffs would make everything more expensive. At a time when people are struggling, we need the President to be focused on making lives better, not worse.
