Dear Friend,
Elizabeth May is back in Parliament, and she’s already making her voice heard.
In her first week back, Elizabeth took on the government’s lack of urgency on the climate crisis. [In a press conference]([link removed]), she pointed out that the Speech from the Throne barely mentioned climate action and demanded answers from Prime Minister Carney on how Canada will meet its legally binding Paris targets.
Inside the House, [Elizabeth kept up the pressure]([link removed]). She used her one question of the week to put the climate emergency front and centre, asking directly: “When will we see a climate plan?” The new Environment Minister had no answer.
She also spoke out this week about the need for emergency preparedness—[like a national fleet of water bombers]([link removed]) and a federal firefighting force—to match the reality of the climate crisis we’re already living through.
And she amplified the voices of Canadians demanding a stronger democracy too, presenting a petition in Parliament calling for a more democratic voting system.
On Saturday, Elizabeth [addressed hundreds of mayors and councillors]([link removed]) at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ national congress. After sharing the Green vision for climate action and economic sovereignty, she received a standing ovation for her powerful message.
Elizabeth’s first week back was a reminder that our climate, our democracy and our safety are all connected, and we can’t afford to ignore any of them.
She’s pushing for real solutions that put people and the planet first. But she can’t do it alone.
Your support helps amplify Elizabeth’s voice and build the movement we need to push Parliament to take action on climate, democracy and protecting our communities.

Thank you for standing with Elizabeth, and for being part of this fight for a fairer, more resilient Canada
With hope and determination,
