Friend -
June marks Pride Month, a time to honor the courage, resilience, and joy of the LGBTQ+ community—and to recommit ourselves to building a future rooted in equality, dignity, and justice for all.
In Washington, we've made historic strides: protecting trans rights, banning conversion therapy, expanding access to gender-affirming healthcare, and ensuring LGBTQ+ youth feel safe in our schools. These achievements weren't inevitable—they were the result of people-powered advocacy and bold leadership in the Senate.

This year, we passed the Safety Act, which guarantees every student the right to privacy, respectful treatment, and protections from discrimination, as well as establishing clear guidelines for mental health support, anti-bullying protections, and confidential health services.
Senate Democrats remain committed to the fight for a more equal Washington, especially as LGBTQ+ rights are under attack and hard-won protections are challenged. Hate has no home here in Washington State, and Senate Democrats are holding the line.
Thank you for being part of this team and our movement for equality and justice.
