Dear John,
With World Refugee Day just a few days away, we wanted to update you on the progress we've made toward our goal to raise $150,000 for refugees and asylum seekers around the world:

We've been so thankful for the outpouring of support we’ve received over the last several days. And while we’ve made incredible strides toward our goal, we still have a big gap to close.
With so many refugees and asylum seekers stuck in crowded shelters without access to food or clean water, our work has never been more important – and raising these funds is critical to ensuring we can continue providing emergency cash-based relief, legal aid and other vital assistance to those who need it most.
With every dollar we raise, we can help curb the spread of the coronavirus among Darfuri refugees in Chad. We’ll be able to help even more asylum seekers in Israel afford housing and put food on the table. And in Panama, we’ll be able to provide remote safety interventions to support victims of domestic violence.
Right now, HIAS is doing everything possible to help refugees and asylum seekers build new lives in safety and freedom. But our lifesaving work depends on whether we reach this vital goal. That’s why we’re asking for your support today:
Thank you so much,
Team HIAS
