John, This is a devastating update. Over the weekend, a Hamas sympathizer violently attacked a pro-Israel vigil in Colorado that has met each week since October 7. The terrorist set participants on fire, including an 88-year-old grandmother, a Holocaust survivor.
Just weeks ago, Israeli diplomats were gunned down in cold blood in Washington, D.C. This antisemitic horror is being perpetrated as part of a global attack on Israel and the Jewish people. We just learned that the disgraced International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor who issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu was poised to arrest more Israeli leaders. This lawless weaponization of international law to further Hamas' goal of the devastation and destruction of Israel is horrific and disgusting. The ACLJ submitted a first round of briefs to the ICC to fight back; and in a huge breakthrough, the ICC appellate court is forcing the lower chamber to actually consider Israel's legal arguments. The ACLJ is mobilizing our offices in Jerusalem and Europe to defend Israel's right to defend itself – to exist as a Jewish nation.
