** Health Justice
------------------------------------------------------------

Hello readers,

Yesterday’s Health Justice newsletter noted that the Stonewall Uprisings happened in 1970, when in fact they occurred in June of 1969.
We regret the error.

Thanks as always for reading.

In June, we celebrate Pride Month. Created after the 1969 Stonewall Uprisings in New York City against police repression of the LGBTQ+ community, Pride has come to represent a broad global celebration of activism, visibility, and love. In today’s newsletter, we bring you stories that exemplify that spirit. First, autistic rights groups ([link removed]) are advocating for strengthened connection, community, and humanity in the face of threats from the federal Health and Human Services Department. Next, CornerJawn, a farm-to-corner store in North Philadelphia ([link removed]) , is bringing fresh flavor and color to a beloved neighborhood to fight food apartheid. Then, in New York City, public health efforts have demonstrated real results, and mayors in other cities worldwide are taking note
([link removed]) . And finally, we’ve collected some of our favorite stories for Pride Month ([link removed]) .

Enjoy, and march on.
