Contaminated Parks Parks Meeting

June 4, 6:00-8:00pm Lyon Park

This is a community-led, community-focused time to briefly provide updates on the status of the five contaminated parks (East End, East Durham, Lyon, Northgate, and Walltown Parks).

Register to join us for information, advocacy planning, and connection on Wednesday, June 4, 6:00-8:00 PM at the Community Family Life & Recreation Center at Lyon Park at 1309 Halley St, Durham. Dinner served at 6 PM, with the meeting starting at 6:30 PM.

Turnout to Advocate for our Budget Priorities

Members of the PA Child and Family Policy and Education Action Teams spoke at public comment at the May 27th Board of County Commissioner Meeting. Despite the cold weather and rain the PA members joined other Durham advocates to ask the County for full funding for Public Schools and grant funds to the Carolina Parent Defenders.
