Legislative Priorities Update: Sine Die
As the 89th Legislative Session comes to an end, we have significant accomplishments to recognize. However, we will include a more in depth evaluation soon. With 37 Legislative Priority bills successfully passing both chambers, this session represents a substantial achievement for our shared goals and priorities.
We want to extend our sincere appreciation to the authors, coauthors, and sponsors who worked tirelessly to advance these important bills. Their persistence, and strategic efforts were crucial in navigating the legislative process and building the necessary support to move each of legislative priorities forward. Each of them invested considerable time and energy into crafting effective legislation and securing the votes needed for passage.
Most importantly, we want to thank our grassroots supporters who made these victories possible. Your consistent advocacy efforts, from contacting legislators and attending committee hearings to organizing in your communities and mobilizing support, were essential to our success. You showed up when it counted, whether that meant taking time off work to testify, making phone calls during your lunch breaks, or spending weekends educating your neighbors about these critical issues.
The legislative process requires sustained effort from many people working toward common objectives, and this session demonstrated exactly what we can accomplish when we coordinate our efforts effectively. These 37 bills represent real progress on the issues that matter to our communities, and that progress happened because of your commitment and hard work.
Thank you for your dedication throughout this legislative session. Your ongoing efforts are making a meaningful difference for Texas!
Thank YOU for staying up to date on urgent legislation and letting your voice be heard!
