Advocating for Rural America | Celebrating the 101st Anniversary of the U.S. Border Patrol

This week I joined Andy Hooser’s radio show, The Voice of Reason, to talk about the House’s passage of the One Big, Beautiful Bill. When writing the bill, my colleagues and I looked for ways to address our nation’s spending, to keep America secure, to codify the Trump Tax Cuts and to grow the economy. Our bill delivers the largest tax cut in American history that will improve the lives of Kansans.

Critics of the bill often claim that cutting taxes will decrease our nation’s revenue. But cutting taxes, like the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, will grow the economy and generate more tax revenue as a result.

Andy and I also discussed the fact that House Democrats who voted no on the budget bill voted to increase taxes, cut the Child Tax Credit in half and deny tax relief for seniors. To listen to my full interview with Andy Hooser, click here.

I also joined RFD-TV’s “Champions of Rural America” segment. As a member of the Congressional Western Caucus, I talked about my priorities to improve the lives of farmers, ranchers and landowners in Kansas and across the country.

The One Big, Beautiful Bill will benefit farmers because it invests in crop insurance, specialty crops and livestock biosecurity.

.Did you know that there are waterfalls throughout the 4th Congressional District of Kansas? In Chautauqua County, there is a waterfall in Cedar Vale known as the Osro Falls. In Elk County, the Elk Falls are located in a town that bears the same name. Near Andover and Augusta, the Santa Fe Lake Falls are located on Santa Fe Lake. East of Arkansas City in Cowley County is the Cowley Lake Waterfall. Other waterfalls dot the landscape in the district as well.
