Dear Fellow Young Democrat,
This Pride Month, we recognize that Pride is more than a celebration — it's a protest. It’s a demand for equality, a call for respect, a stand for love, and a radical expression of joy in the face of hate and hardship.
From Stonewall to today, LGBTQ+ communities have led the charge for justice, often at great personal risk. Their courage laid the foundation for progress — and their fight is far from over.
We invite our members, fellow Hoosiers, and Democrats across Indiana to show up for Pride:
March in parades, uplift LGBTQ+ voices, advocate for inclusive policies, and reflect on how we can be better allies and co-conspirators in the movement for liberation.
But just as importantly:
When the parades end and the rainbow flags come down, our work must continue. Celebrate queer joy, fight anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, support affirming healthcare, and protect trans kids — all year long!
Let’s continue to push forward, together — in Pride and in protest.
