TX-23 is proudly home to Big Bend and Guadalupe Mountains National Parks.

America's national parks bring our friends and families together to explore and experience our nation's wonders. Recently, I joined the National Parks Caucus to further advocate for Texas’ natural gems and our nation's public lands in Congress.

Modernizing Border Bridges

This week, I introduced the International Bridge and Port of Entry Modernization Act. My bill makes it possible for all U.S. international bridges and land ports of entry along our borders to qualify for a streamlined presidential permitting process.

South and West Texas are home to key ports of entry, and we need to make sure gateways like these are modernized to the fullest extent so we can keep our trade flows strong. I’m committed to working with my colleagues in the House to get this legislation on the President’s desk.

101 Years Strong

101 years ago this week, the United States Border Patrol was founded. Our men and women in green work around the clock to protect our nation's borders and keep us safe.

We are incredibly grateful for all of our hardworking Border Patrol Agents, thank you for all that you do for our country.
