In partnership with the Public Interest Research Group (PIRG), Fifth Avenue Committee, and Big Reuse, my office is collecting gently-used, working laptops. These devices will be refurbished and distributed to students in local literacy programs—helping bridge the digital divide and fuel lifelong learning right here in our community.

Testify on the Brooklyn Marine Terminal Redevelopment Project

The City Council’s Economic Development Committee is holding an Oversight Hearing on the Brooklyn Marine Terminal Redevelopment Project in the Committee Room at City Hall. This hearing will evaluate the progress of the redevelopment and how the community has been engaged in shaping the future of this critical waterfront corridor. I urge residents, advocates, and stakeholders to testify and make clear that our communities must lead, not follow, in this planning process.

F Line Repairs Coming Soon

Starting early June, the MTA will begin painting and structural repairs on the elevated Culver Line (F Train) between Ditmas Ave and Avenue P. The first phase, between Cortelyou Road and Avenue F, will run daily from 7 AM to 5 PM.


The full project is expected to wrap up in late 2027.
