Elise Stands Up for Hardworking NY Dairy Farmers

This week, Elise stood up for New York dairy farmers who are under attack from New York Democrats, calling out harmful legislation that threatens the livelihood of family farms and the stability of the state’s food supply.

Elise reaffirmed her commitment to defending New York’s agricultural heritage and ensuring future generations can continue to farm without government overreach.

Elise stated —

"Kathy Hochul and NY Democrats have engaged in a multi year attack on New York farms causing a mass exodus of small businesses and farms closures across our great state.

Unlike Kathy Hochul, New Yorkers understand that agriculture is the backbone of our state’s economy and the accessibility and affordability of nutritional food for families. New York Democrats must stop their attack on multi-generational, locally rooted dairy farms that feed families all across our state. The Democrats’ latest anti-farm bill would block new permits for dairy farms in our communities and dismantle our healthy, natural food supply.

New Yorkers are proud to be recognized as an agricultural powerhouse as a state, and I will continue to fight for hardworking farms and all the New York families that consume our local agriculture products."

Elise Calls for Review of Truman Foundation’s Scholarship Selections

This week, Elise called on the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation to fully review the political imbalance in the selection of scholarships.

The taxpayer-funded foundation, of which Elise is a Board Member, awarded a scholarship to one of the Harvard students who co-authored that institution’s disreputable letter saying that Israel was "entirely responsible" for the October 7th, 2023 Hamas terrorist attack in Israel.

Elise is demanding full transparency and accountability to ensure that the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation does not become politicized at the expense of its mission and doesn’t reward those who defend or excuse acts of terrorism.

Elise stated –

“I was excited when I was recently appointed to serve as a Board Member of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation.

Unfortunately, today it has come to my attention that one of the 2025 recipients of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship funded by American taxpayers is a pro-Hamas, antisemitic student who was one of the authors of the disgraced Harvard letter saying that Israel was ‘entirely responsible’ for the Hamas attack that slaughtered over 1,200 innocent people and kidnapped over 250.

This scholarship must be rescinded and I am calling for a full review of the political imbalance in the scholarship selections.

This does NOT reflect American values for a scholarship program funded by hardworking U.S. taxpayers nor does it reflect the values of Harry S. Truman who was the first U.S. President to recognize the state of Israel."

Elise’s Full Remarks at Yeshiva University’s 2025 Commencement Ceremony

Last week, Elise was proud to accept Yeshiva University’s prestigious Presidential Medallion for Global Leadership, presented by Yeshiva’s President Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, in recognition of her steadfast support for the U.S.-Israel alliance, her principled leadership on the world stage, and her unwavering commitment to religious liberty and American values.

Elise stated –

“Thank you very much to Rabbi Berman, whom I had the chance to hear deliver a beautiful and moving benediction at President Trump’s inauguration. Thank you to the Board of Yeshiva: I am truly honored to receive the Presidential Medallion from an institution I deeply admire. It is humbling to be associated with those recipients who have led with moral clarity, served this institution with distinction, and have used their gifts to defend our most precious ally Israel.

Class of 2025, you have had a safer, richer and deeper experience than most over the last 4 years because you chose this special University to attend.

As you go forward, carry with you the values that have guided this great institution and the ideals that are the foundation of our nation. Not only accept the responsibilities, but the moral obligations that come with membership in this grand American experiment in our Constitutional Republic.

I ask you to use the education you received here at Yeshiva, along with the unbreakable traditions and faith that you learned in your homes, and join me in the fight to restore our country to a place of light, moral clarity, and liberty and dignity enshrined in our Constitution."

Elise Encourages Accelerated Funding to Strengthen Critical Infrastructure at Fort Drum in NY-21

This week, Elise called on the Department of the Army to accelerate $69.2 million in funding to urgently address failing infrastructure at Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield, located at Fort Drum, New York—home of the 10th Mountain Division, the most deployed division in the U.S. Army since 9/11.

In a request to Army leadership, Elise urged the Army to reprogram Army Facilities Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM) funds currently scheduled for Fiscal Year 2027 into Fiscal Year 2026.

The funding is critical to replacing deteriorating electric power systems at the airfield—essential infrastructure that supports the rapid deployment and mission readiness of the 10th Mountain Division.

Elise stated —

“The Army is engaged in global operations to execute President Trump’s agenda of America First Peace through Strength leadership on the world stage. To ensure that these operations continue smoothly, I urge you to accelerate $69,200,000 in Army Facilities Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM) funding, currently programmed for Fiscal Year 2027, to Fiscal Year 2026 to improve the airfield electrical power infrastructure at Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield at Fort Drum, New York.

Fort Drum plays a critical role in our national defense as the home of the 10th Mountain Division, the most deployed division in the U.S. Army since September 11, 2001. The 10th Mountain Division is currently supporting key missions such as homeland defense at the U.S. southern border and advancing U.S. interests working with partners and allies in the Middle East. The functionality of this airfield is essential to maintaining the rapid deployment capabilities and operational readiness of the division.”

Chag Shavuot Sameach!

We wish all a joyful and meaningful Shavuot. As we mark this special holiday of faith, harvest, and tradition, may it be filled with peace, gratitude, and blessings for the year ahead. 🇺🇸✡️
