John, thank you for answering God’s call to save preborn babies.
It’s amazing to see all you’ve done for the Pro-Life cause.
Here are a few ways you helped children and pregnant mothers this month:
🏛️ Training Pro-Life College Students
Each May, students in their second year of our scholarship program come to Houston for “Oldies Training”—a jam-packed week of powerful education, outreach, and spiritual growth. They spent the whole school year leading Pro-Life clubs on their campuses. Now, they have more tools—and even more passion—to take their work to the next level.
Because of your generosity, our Dr. Joseph Graham Fellows:
* Shadowed our team at the Capitol, practicing how to lobby for Pro-Life bills;
* Learned about tough topics like euthanasia, physician-assisted suicide, and medical ethics; and
* Started conversations with people at a local park to change minds about abortion.
One student, Eva, wanted to say ‘thank you’ and share how you helped her:
“I was nervous to talk to strangers about abortion—but this training taught me how to find common ground, empathize, and focus on the heart of the issue: What is a preborn child?”
Thank you for shaping future leaders. You are raising up a generation that’s bold, compassionate, and unafraid to speak the truth.
❤️ Fighting for Pro-Life Bills
For the last five months, our team worked day and night to pass Pro-Life bills in the Capitol, and this Monday will be the last day that lawmakers meet. With all the ups and downs of this year, YOU were the real hero!
Your generosity and voice helped push these new laws all the way through:
Stop Tax-Funded Abortion Travel Act [priority] (SB 33):
Your taxpayer dollars will be protected from funding abortion travel costs (like what happened in Austin and San Antonio).
Adoption Education (SB 1207):
High schools will now teach students about adoption, helping them see it as a compassionate, life-affirming alternative to abortion and fighting the fears young mothers may have.
Support for Fragile Babies (SB 1233):
When a family finds out their unborn child may not live very long after birth, hospitals and doctors will now provide information on specialized care for their babies and community support for the parents so they don’t feel alone.
>> A teen mom who lost her daughter at birth shared her story at the Capitol. She reflected, “Being able to share [my daughter’s] story in this setting was a game changer for me. If Sophie’s story can help other mothers and babies like us, then I’m all for it!”
PLUS, we passed protections for pregnancy center funding (SB 1388) and training for doctors who treat life-threatening pregnancy complications (SB 31).
But there’s still a lot of work to do. Lawmakers ignored the biggest threat to women and babies: abortion pills.
State Rep. Ken King (R-Canadian) delayed our #1 bill, the Woman and Child Protection Act (SB 2880), so long that it missed the deadline to pass. You and I will have to work together to save mothers and babies from mail-order abortion drugs.
Even when the odds were against us, you stood firm, prayed boldly, and took action—and it made all the difference this month.
Because of you, Texas is a safer place for mothers and their babies.
You’re changing the world—one student, one law, and one prayer at a time!
Defending LIFE with you,
