After 9/11, Americans demanded safer skies. We got the TSA, a unified, public system with national standards and dedicated professionals. But now, Trump and his MAGA cronies are trying to dismantle it from the inside out.

In March, Trump’s DHS torpedoed a 7-year labor contract covering 50,000 TSA workers. That deal had finally brought TSA agents closer to pay equity and workplace rights. In his usual fashion, Trump tore it up with no warning and no negotiations.

This isn’t about budget cuts. It’s about crushing unions, gutting federal workers, and opening the door to privatization. TSA employees have been sounding the alarm as morale is plummeting, layoffs are looming, and airport security is being dangerously compromised.

Project 2025 spells it out, break the union, then auction off airport security to the lowest private bidder. That means less training, lower standards, and workers treated like disposable parts. It’s a brazen handout to corporate allies, and a recipe for disaster.

Tell Congress: Block Trump’s sabotage of the TSA. Defend union rights, public safety, and federal workers now.

This fight is about more than one agency, it’s about whether our public servants get to organize for fairness, or whether every federal job is up for grabs to the billionaire class.

The workers Trump is targeting are the same people who’ve kept us safe through crises from shoe bombers to pandemics. They deserve stability, respect, and the right to collective bargaining.

But under Trump’s plan, their rights vanish and so does our security. When checkpoints are understaffed and undertrained, we all pay the price.

We must act now. Congress has the power to reinstate the TSA contract and protect unionized federal work. If they sit this one out, they’re greenlighting a corporate takeover of our airports.

Let’s stop this union-busting scheme before it spreads and show Congress that public safety and workers’ rights are not for sale.
