National Domestic Workers Alliance
============================
Last week, the House majority passed a shocking bill slashing Medicaid and stripping healthcare away from millions of our most vulnerable community members , including countless domestic workers and their families.
Your representative, , stood strong and voted against cuts to Medicaid — and we’re all going to need their support again soon.
The bill only passed the House by ONE vote – and now heads to the Senate for changes. Then, it will come BACK to the House for another vote – and we need every single representative (including yours!) who voted against it to stand firm and vote NO again.
Now is our moment to show massive appreciation to representatives, like , who stood against the largest cuts to Medicaid in history. Can you send a quick message to your representative right now, thanking them for voting NO and urging them to stand strong? [[link removed]]

For domestic workers and caregivers across the country, this bill will be devastating – ripping away essential care for children, people with disabilities, and older adults, all in order to fund tax breaks for billionaires. And, it will make it harder for families to afford in-home support, causing job losses among care workers who rely on Medicaid themselves.
Make no mistake: denying millions access to lifesaving medicine, chronic care treatments, maternity support, and home health visits isn't fiscal discipline – it's cruelty, plain and simple.
This fight is far from over. It’s all but certain that our representatives will face ANOTHER vote on the bill after the Senate makes its changes. A single representative flipping their vote next time could make or break the bill.
That’s why it’s so important we all raise our voices TODAY to thank our representatives for voting against stripping healthcare from the most vulnerable.
Let's ensure that ALL our reps hear from us directly – loudly and urgently – that we support them in continuing to defend Medicaid and standing boldly against any move that threatens affordable health care.
Will you help us flood their inboxes right now with gratitude and resolve?

As always, thanks for all you do,

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.
Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
