Clerk Forlini Two National Awards

ON THE ROAD
WITH TONY...

Welcome to our May newsletter!

The big news is that the Macomb County Clerk's Office was selected for two National Awards. With over 5,000 communities eligible for the awards, only 28 awards were given out, with our Clerk's Office being the only jurisdiction to receive two awards!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, with a chance to remember all those who fought to preserve our freedoms! Members of our Clerk's Office staff participated in this year's St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade, paying tribute to our veterans.

Also, our Fraud Notify system is now helping to protect over 14,000 Macomb County residents. Participants are notified via email when a Macomb County real estate document was changed in any way. Have you signed up yet!!

Please see our video feature below on how easy it is to set up your Fraud Notify alerts.

22 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE COUNTY

Our Beloved Front Desk Officer Retires

John Clemens Birthday

Our beloved front desk officer -- John Clements -- recently retired. John always went beyond the call of duty, answering questions and helping queue County residents for Vital Records, Register of Deeds and CPL Licenses. The former 25-year Eastpointe Police Sergeant, worked an additional 22 years for the County, all with a big smile and occasional song.

"Over the years, I have worked at all of the County Buildings, but my time at the 120 N Main Street Building has been my favorite, because of all the friendly staff, friendly visitors and all the good service we provided," John told us.
