‌Johh‌,

Last week, I voted no on the Republican budget bill.

This bill cuts healthcare for more than 13 million people. It slashes food assistance and reduces support for programs many families depend on. In exchange, it offers massive tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans.

The process behind it was no better. It was rushed through with late-night hearings, little transparency, and clear pressure from Donald Trump. House Republicans forced it through with no attempt at collaboration.

Every House Democrat voted against it. We did so because this bill is a deeply lopsided plan that shifts costs onto people who can’t afford to bear them. It doesn’t make life better for our constituents. It’s partisan extremism at its worst — and it’s happening at a time when families are looking to Congress for stability and support.

I will use every tool at my disposal to fight this as the legislative process continues. This fight is far from over. No matter how dark or discouraging it gets in the halls of Congress, I will never stop fighting for you.

The best way you can help me is to chip in toward my team's end-of-month fundraising goal. Every dollar helps power our fight against the Trump agenda >> [link removed]

Thank you for paying attention. That’s how we move things forward, even when it’s tough.
