Last week, Republicans voted to pass Trump’s Big Ugly Bill – and with it, the largest cut to Medicaid and food assistance in American history in order to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy and well-connected.
This bill is a scam and a rip-off for the American people. I am outraged on behalf of the American people who are struggling just to put food on the table, get healthcare, and provide for their families. Republicans are proving once and for all where their loyalties lie – and it’s not with the people they’re meant to represent.
I fought this bill tooth and nail. Now, as the Trump administration and its Republican cronies continue to take from the poor to give to the rich, I will continue to fight to stop them in every way I can.
