Friends,

It's all connected.

We're in one of those history-defining moments when struggle after entangled struggle brings clarity, crystallizing our core beliefs. In a rare bit of good news, the Supreme Court ruled that employers can't discriminate against LGBT+ people. Protests and actions to defend Black lives continue to be held across the US. In Massachusetts, environmental injustice, unequal access to healthcare, and COVID-19 are disproportionately impacting communities of color. Our fights for environmental justice, indigenous peoples' rights, LGBT+ rights, racial justice, and health are all inextricably connected. What do we want? Justice.

Last week, 350 Mass member leaders voted to endorse the BLM national platform. This week, we're urging you to support actions taking place on Juneteenth, June 19th. Learn more about it here and see all the events here.

And see below for more opportunities to work toward a better future.

In solidarity,

Solidarity Opportunities

TWO DAYS LEFT10 Days of Action for 10 Days of Emergency Paid Sick Time: The federal coronavirus response package left out hundreds of thousands of workers in Massachusetts. These workers are forced to choose between working while sick or losing the pay they need to make ends meet. Emergency Paid Sick Time would provide ten additional days (80 hours) of job-protected paid sick time for immediate use during the outbreak. Join Raise Up Mass to take part in ten days of action through June 17 and help keep working people and the public safe and healthy!

PetitionTell Governor Baker that Reopening Plan Must Protect Workers and Hard-hit Communities: Essential workers, communities of color, and nursing home residents are bearing the worst brunt of the COVID-19 epidemic. None of these groups are represented in Governor Baker's Advisory Board for reopening the Massachusetts economy. Sign a petition demanding a more equitable reopening.
