Hi there – 

It’s been a tough week — but here’s some good news:

Governor Shapiro’s “Lightning Plan” to transition Pennsylvania to a clean energy future is moving in the legislature!¹

Pennsylvania is almost last in the nation for growth of wind energy generation and energy savings from efficiency measures.²

The Lightning Plan will close this gap and lower our energy bills, decrease harmful pollution, help create good-paying union jobs, and protect our planet for our children. 

I’m thrilled to see the Lightning Plan moving, but it’s ambitious. We need our members' full support if we’re going to get it fully passed through our divided legislature. 

So we’re asking just one question: 

Do you support transitioning Pennsylvania to 35% clean energy by 2035? 

The Lightning Plan tackles this crisis from every angle, including:

• Speeding up approvals for clean energy projects to get new jobs and put more energy on our grid.
• Supporting clean energy production in rural communities to let farmers and small towns share energy systems to cut energy costs.
• Creating energy efficiency rebates to save families money.
• Setting bold goals for increased clean energy generation like transitioning PA’s energy sources from 4% clean energy to 35% by 2035!
• Cutting carbon while returning savings to your electric bill.

These are smart, practical steps — and they’re just the beginning.

But to win this, we need to show lawmakers that Pennsylvanians like you are ready for a clean energy future.
