To kick off World Pride, VSA, the Human Rights Campaign and the Immigrant Defenders Law Center are staging a protest in support of Andry José Hernández Romero. This is an opportunity for World Pride attendees, DMV area residents, and the entire LGBTQ+ community to rally around Andry as we demand his return!
Andry is a 31-year-old gay make-up artist and asylum seeker from Venezuela. Despite seeking safety in the U.S. due to persecution, Trump denied Andry due process, disappeared him to a notorious El Salvadorian mega prison, and a judge just tossed out his asylum case last night. We demand Andry’s immediate return and the chance to present his asylum claim. Because if this administration can kidnap Andry and ship him off to a foreign gulag they can do it to anyone.
Pride is about fighting for each other, and the power we have collectively when we aren’t afraid to tell the truth. So join us on Friday, June 6th at 5p ET to tell these evil creeps to fuck all the way off.
