Friend,
We are proud to announce that Courage California has been named this
year’s recipient of the Women’s Foundation California Cindy Marano
Leadership Award!
The Women’s Foundation California is a statewide organization dedicated to
racial, economic, and gender justice, building a feminist future for
California. The Foundation recognized Courage California for helping
communities build political power and leading movements, no matter what
election cycle we’re in.
Courage California -- and our members, like you! -- were uplifted for
“exemplifying what it means to lead with courage, innovation, and deep
commitment to community.”
We were also thrilled to be recognized alongside Courage All Star,
Assemblymember Isaac Bryan, and the Transgender Law Center!
As I said in our acceptance, feminism is the opposite of fascism, and we
must lean into our feminist leadership in this moment.
We are going to outlast this administration, and when the dust clears, we
can’t go back to the status quo. We need to keep fighting for our vision
of how to rebuild our social safety net to support everyone. With Courage
and unity, we can forge a path forward.
We at Courage California will continue to fight for justice. If you
believe this work as much as we do, [ [link removed] ]this is the moment to step up for
us with your support.
Thank you for being in the fight!
–Irene, along with Annie, Angela, Isidra, Cecilia, Jen, and Lindsay (the
Courage team)

Courage California (formerly Courage Campaign) makes sure our democracy works for ALL of us by fighting corruption in California politics. We believe the solution lies in exposing and solving systemic problems through strategic organizing, enhancing coordination between progressive organizations, and mobilizing civic engagement from our communities, particularly voters of color, young voters, and self-identified progressives.
