John,
One year ago today was a sad day in America. Our former president at the time – and now current president – was convicted of 34 felonies by a jury.
And since then, he and his extremist MAGA movement have only grown more dangerous, more shameless, and more of a threat to our democracy.
I don’t need to tell you how corrupt Donald Trump is. We’ve all seen the headlines recently. We all watched when he incited an insurrection on our Capitol in 2021, just days after I took office.
As my friend Cory Booker often says: ‘ This is a moral moment. ’ And he’s right. We must meet it with courage, with clarity, and with the conviction that democracy is always worth defending.
That’s why I’m organizing to make it clear: no one is above the law. The next step? Take back the House. It may seem far off, but we know how fast these fights come – and how high the stakes are.
Let’s finish what we started. Let’s show the world that justice still matters, that democracy still works, and that the people still have the power. Our end of month fundraising deadline is almost here – chip in now to help fuel this fight: [[link removed]]If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately.
