Friends,

I don’t have the typical background of a U.S. Senator.

I'm the proud son of Mexican immigrants. I learned everything I know about work and opportunity from my parents. My father worked his way up from a dishwasher to head cook at a local diner with only an elementary school education, and my mother worked tirelessly as a housekeeper for affluent families.


I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and worked hard as a kid. I found refuge in books and baseball and eventually earned admission to MIT and graduated with an engineering degree.

Now, as California’s first Latino Senator, I’m working hard to ensure all Californians are afforded the same opportunities to achieve their American dream — no matter where they were born or what neighborhood they live in.

But Donald Trump and MAGA have other ideas. They’re not only blocking our progress, but they are actively pushing us backwards.

They want to bring Americans back to a time in which the right to vote wasn’t guaranteed to all eligible citizens — when it was easy for some to vote, and almost impossible for others.

They want to make it so the largest corporations in the country can pollute our air and water with no consequence.

And they want to destroy Social Security and Medicare — programs that millions of Americans count on — to give massive tax breaks to Elon Musk and his billionaire friends.

Friends, fighting back against MAGA is going to take relentless effort, every day. I’m working hard in the Senate to stop them, but I can’t do it alone. Nobody can.

So I am humbly asking for your support to keep up the fight:
