You’re likely going to receive a LOT of emails this week, from candidates across the country, asking for money before the end of the month deadline.

I’ll be frank: this is one of those emails! But before I ask, I want to explain why my campaign is different from the rest, and why you should consider contributing today.

I believe it really is the job of every congressperson to make sure that our home districts are great places for our families to grow up. And that’s what has always excited me most about this job: the chance to help families in IL-17 thrive by creating a safer, more affordable district.

This stands in stark contrast to what far-right Republicans are doing to “represent” their constituents. Their budget bill makes clear that they want us to have less of everything – healthy communities, thriving seniors, even nourished kids. A budget bill that passed by ONE vote…

So here’s the key: we need to retake the House majority to reverse these dangerous policies – and the fight to retake the House starts in IL-17. We need to defend this swing seat if we want any chance of winning back the majority.

With the holiday weekend, fundraising has taken a back seat in recent days, but with attacks from the right ramping up, we need grassroots support to keep IL-17 blue. Will you chip in a contribution today?
