Dear john,

I hope you and your loved ones are doing well. As I conclude another District Work Week and prepare to head back to Washington, I want to share a few highlights from the last several days. Before that, I want to let folks know about my office's next Mobile Office Hours. For those in or near Austell, my office will be at the Sweetwater Valley Library this coming Wednesday, June 4th from 12 pm until 2 pm. If you have any federal concern, please use this link to register for an appointment. We look forward to assisting you!

District Work Weeks like the one I just wrapped up are truly some of my favorite days in Congress. This week, I was honored to spend so much time with local leaders and advocates all across our district to get a firsthand look at some of the biggest projects and initiatives coming to our community. I was also able to spend time with several small businesses and each county chamber of commerce. Here are some highlights from the week:

On Tuesday, I was in Fayetteville touring the site of the new U.S. Soccer Federation training headquarters, which will serve as the hub for all 27 U.S. national soccer teams. This 200-acre facility will feature 17 soccer fields with state of the art training and development facilities. As a vocal advocate for this facility's relocation to Georgia, I am so proud that this new headquarters is right in our district!

As you may know, many of your favorite movies are filmed right here in Georgia! This week, I toured Trilith Studios as well as Lionsgate Studios, two top film production hubs in metro Atlanta. These wonderful community assets are the result of public-private collaboration from local government leaders, private investors, and partners across the country and around the world.

On Wednesday, I convened a Small Business Roundtable with representatives from all our local chambers and small business owners from every part of the district. May is National Small Business Month, so this was a perfect opportunity to hear from local entrepreneurs about the current business climate. Despite the many different types of businesses represented, one thing was clear: our small business community is deeply impacted by the uncertainty and rising costs brought on by the Trump Administration's trade policies. In Congress, I will continue to advocate for smart trade policy and champion my workforce development initiatives so that we can truly support our small business owners, because they remain the backbone of our national economy.

On Thursday, I joined Fulton County Chairman Robb Pitts, Commissioner Khadijah Abdur-Rahman, and Cherry Street Energy to "flip the switch" in celebration of solar arrays located at the Evelyn Lowery Library and dozens of county facilities across Fulton. Already, these solar arrays have saved over $100,000 for Fulton County taxpayers, and they are estimated to result in a net savings of over $2 million. This project is a shining example of what is possible when we work together to make smart investments in renewable energy. Congratulations, Fulton County!
