------------------------------------------------------------
Last year, my teenager and I moved into the first home we have ever owned. A feature we were both excited about was the wood-burning fireplace in the living room, a bonus for staving off the severe winters of northern Ohio. My son is well-versed in building a fire, but we also had to have some important safety lessons in how to put one out.
This week at the Climate Justice desk, we’re looking at ways to put out those fires which are seemingly raging out of control, from the rampant overreach of the Trump administration to the overconsumption helping to fuel the climate crisis.
First, as nonprofits, including climate groups, fall under attack, can a temporary restraining order ([link removed]) be a solution to stalling the Trump administration? Then, what can be done about the ways social media and lifestyle trends encourage overconsumption ([link removed]) ? Next, the fracking industry has evaded accountability, to the frustration of community groups, but a new legal strategy is making a difference ([link removed]) . Finally, NPQ presents a free download ([link removed]) on transformative healing—“The Call of Leadership Now” by Neha Mahajan and Felicia Griffith.
