Team, this is big news. Elon Musk is OUT of the Trump Administration, which is a major victory for our movement.

While the work is far from over, this shows that our pressure campaigns are making a real difference. Elon Musk bragged about taking a chainsaw to the federal government, and brought chaotic DOGE cuts to several important agencies. The cuts he did bring were real, and devastating. But we stopped him far short of his ultimate goal of hollowing out our institutions. Now, he’s left the government with his tail between his legs.

We still have a lot of fight left ahead of us, both nationally and here in New Jersey. The GOP’s cruel reconciliation bill that’s already passed the House would bring awful cuts to Medicaid and SNAP, programs that thousands of people in NJ-03 and millions across the country rely on. It could take years to undo DOGE’s damage on other agencies. We are far from out of the woods.

But, team, we should consider this an important victory. It shows that we can push back against Trump’s cruelty and get real wins.

As a veteran and a physician, I know firsthand the positive role that government can play in people’s lives. The VA, Medicaid, SNAP, Social Security, and more are critical to our health and well being. I’ll continue fighting every day to preserve these key services.
