Dear John,
Ilia Chernov won his asylum case over two months ago. He followed every rule, entered the U.S. in the government-approved way to seek asylum, and proved the danger he faces as a political dissident and LGBTQ individual in Russia. Yet today, he remains unjustly detained at the notorious Winn immigration detention center in Louisiana.
Ilia’s story is not unique. Every day, immigrants are detained, denied due process, and left to navigate a complex legal system alone. We continue to gather volunteers to provide legal representation and interpretation services . But more immigration courts are requiring in-person appearances by attorneys, and the need for legal representation is intense.
That’s why we created the Immigration Justice Campaign Access Fund.

And now, your impact can go twice as far.
An anonymous donor has pledged to match every dollar—up to $10,000—to support the Access Fund.
Your donation will support work like:
* Travel for our volunteer attorneys to attend hearings
* Interpretation services beyond the scope of what our volunteers can cover.
To accept as many clients as possible, we need the resources to send attorneys where they’re needed most. With your help—and this generous match—we can reach more people.

Together, we can fight back against injustice and ensure that people like Ilia receive the representation they deserve.
Thank you for standing with us.
Sincerely,
Bekah Wolf
