We need to talk about it.

I read something in The Washington Post that hasn’t left my mind, John.

A new study shows cancer rates among women in some of the hottest regions of the world are rising — and researchers are now directly linking it to extreme heat and pollution from the climate crisis.

Think about that. The heat is so bad, the air so poisoned, that it’s changing our way of life and increasing our risk of illness.

And yet, while people around the globe are getting sicker, Republican lawmakers here at home are cheering on their “Big Beautiful Bill,” Trump’s latest fossil fuel handout.

This ugly piece of legislation would gut over $500 billion in clean energy projects and wipe out tax incentives, along with the historic progress on climate solutions we’ve spent decades fighting for.

This is the future Donald Trump wants: big polluters get richer off the backs of working people and families, while the rest of us are left to deal with the consequences.

That’s why this moment is so critical, John. We no longer live in a world where we can sit on the sidelines and hope for the best.

JanePAC is working around the clock to elect leaders in statehouses, on school boards, in city councils, and beyond who will fight like hell to protect our communities no matter what Trump signs into law. And we need your support right now. Will you chip in $10, or whatever makes sense for you, before our end-of-month deadline in 48 hours to power this work?
