Fun events planned for invasive species week

Recently, Gov. Jim Pillen declared May 26-30 as Nebraska Invasive Species Awareness Week. Here's a few opportunities and things to know about this issue.

First, boaters can make a big difference! Practice clean, drain and dry procedures to prevent aquatic hitchhikers from spreading to new water bodies.

Also, join us this Saturday, May 31, for a special event at Pawnee State Recreation Area. The day includes a guided nature hike, kayaking, fishing, and lots of chances to learn more about invasive species. Dive even deeper with an educational webinar May 30.
