one in four children in the US growing up in immigrant families, recent changes in immigration and safety net policies threaten to limit access to health care and vital services for millions of children and their families.

New analysis demonstrates the widespread prevalence of challenges faced by immigrant families with children, particularly in meeting basic housing, food, and health needs.

They find that 34 percent of adults in immigrant families with children faced food insecurity, 22 percent had unmet needs for medical care due to costs, and 19 percent had problems paying family medical bills.
