As a meteorologist, I had a responsibility to give folks the information they needed to prepare for the day ahead. Parents, teachers, businesses – even football coaches depended on our accurate information. If severe weather hit, I knew what I said on TV could be the difference between life and death.

The fact is, the race for IL-17 is where our democracy hangs. My self-funding opponent has made it clear he’s a stamp on the MAGA agenda. And there’s no doubt he’d join Trump and the rest of the far-right in continuing the destruction of the working class.
