Friend, the Trump administration is threatening to arrest me for exercising my legal right as a Member of Congress to inspect an immigration detention facility!
Their inexcusable lies and accusations of “assault” on ICE officers are obviously false.
ICE already arrested the Mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka, and there is no telling how far they will go. Mayor Baraka was eventually released, but his arrest was a significant escalation against the rule of law.
