The next few months will include key fights for the fair maps movement and require our ongoing vigilance (read 5 reasons why below) — so we’re making a special push to hit 500 more donations by the end of May, and we hope you’ll consider donating to All On The Line: [link removed]

1️⃣ The SAVE Act in the Senate: Right now, the SAVE Act, one of the most dangerous threats to voting rights we’ve seen in decades, lies in the Senate. All On The Line is mobilizing voters across the country to speak out against this dangerous bill and demand that their senators reject it.

2️⃣ Ohio Redraw: In the pursuit of power, some Ohio politicians shamelessly sabotaged a ballot initiative last November that would have created a citizen-led redistricting commission and removed politicians from the redistricting process altogether. Right now, we’re rallying pro-fair maps volunteers and gearing up for this year’s redraw of Ohio’s congressional map.

3️⃣ Defending the Census: You can’t have fair maps without a fair count of the population. Our movement defended the 2020 Census from the first Trump administration, which tried to add a manipulative and racist citizenship question that would have meant undercounting communities of color. Now, we’re preparing to fight for a fair 2030 Census.

4️⃣ Affiliate Litigation: After a major win in Alabama, where a federal court stopped the state’s efforts to impose an unfair congressional map, the work certainly is not over. Our affiliate, the National Redistricting Foundation, is also currently involved in litigation for equal representation in Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, and Florida. Any week now, the U.S. Supreme Court could decide whether to overrule Louisiana’s new fair map — we have to be ready to mobilize folks nationwide to keep up the fight.

5️⃣ Ongoing Work to End Gerrymandering: There are no off-years and there is no off-season when it comes to redistricting, so we work year-round, year after year to achieve fair maps. With your support, our movement is developing sophisticated mapping capabilities to understand the implications of new maps, building grassroots coalitions, educating the public about redistricting's impact on their communities, holding legislators accountable to their voters, and advancing redistricting reforms at multiple levels of the government.
