Governor Gordon Appoints Greg Steward to be a Circuit Court Judge for the Sixth Judicial District

CHEYENNE, Wyo. –  Governor Mark Gordon has appointed Greg Steward to be a Circuit Court Judge for the Sixth Judicial District serving Campbell County. Steward’s appointment fills a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Wendy Bartlett.

Steward has served as the Chief Deputy County and Prosecuting Attorney for the Campbell County Attorney’s Office since 2023, and as Deputy County and Prosecuting Attorney since 2021. He previously served as Senior Assistant Public Defender in Campbell County and spent eight years as Assistant District Attorney in Stephens County, Oklahoma. Steward earned his Bachelor’s degree from Bethany University and his Juris Doctorate degree from Oklahoma City University.

“Greg’s familiarity with Campbell County’s Circuit Court and his experience serving in both the County Attorney’s office and the Public Defender’s office make him well-qualified to serve in this role,” Governor Gordon said.

Steward’s appointment is effective July 3, 2025.
