This week is crucial for deciding whether your tax dollars continue to support gender transition procedures and abortion providers. Congress may have left Washington for a week, but staff are still on the Hill, reading messages from constituents like you and getting ready to welcome back members next week to continue to work on the reconciliation bill. As we updated you last week, the bill has passed the House with language defunding gender transition procedures and large abortion providers. Now, it’s the Senate’s turn.

Click here to urge your senators to maintain the language defunding all gender transition procedures, as well as big abortion! And on that same page, you can send a message to your U.S. representative based on how they voted. 

On Washington Watch with Tony Perkins last week, FRC’s Senior Director for Government Affairs, Quena González discussed with Tony the current status of the reconciliation bill, spoke about the wins so far, and explained how crucial your engagement has been:

As Quena said, “Now is not the time to take our foot off the gas.” The bill has now gone over to the Senate, and both chambers will need to agree on the language before sending it to President Trump. Your senators need to hear from you now that you want them to work to maintain the current language defunding gender transition procedures and big abortion.
